I love teaching and have been running wine courses for many years now. I still teach in a slightly old fashioned way where I assume that everyone knows nothing at all! This allows me to begin at the very beginning and deal with what everyone seems to want to know - how wine is made and where it comes from. We work our way through the world of wine from grape growing to wine making and on to the finished bottle. These are wine appreciation courses and are suitable for the absolute beginner and for anyone else who wants to learn more about wine.

My courses spend a lot of time tasting wines. Let's face it, useful wine knowledge is about what's in the bottle and not what's in the books. Everyone learns how to taste, spit and to analyse. This is the fun bit and this is where I learn as much as you do.
